Please note the information highlighted in blue about reimbursement to your district. This reimbursement will be for secondary teachers only after verifying their conference attendance. A form will be sent to each district no later than Monday March 8, 2010 that will list all teachers from your district eligible for reimbursement. Districts will be responsible for any costs incurred above $250 per teacher or for any teacher’s costs without conference verification.

Reimbursement

The Kern Family Foundation is generously providing funds to minimize costs to school districts. Secondary teachers in the PLTW Network are eligible for reimbursement of their Breezy Point Full Conference Package, Conference Commuter Package, substitute teacher cost and/or travel (carpools encouraged). Total reimbursement will be up to a maximum of $250 per teacher. The funders have requested that PLTW teachers commit to attending the entire conference. Session attendance will be verified for reimbursement. Preconference sessions are optional. Teachers should request reimbursement for their actual lodging/meal costs through their local district contact as identified on the registration form below, and reimbursement will then be sent to the district after one form per district is submitted following the conference. The form will be available at the conference and also e-mailed to the PLTW District Contact for your district. Administrators, counselors and postsecondary faculty/staff are not eligible for this reimbursement but there is no registration fee other than the required Breezy Point full package or commuter package.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made by February 15 and must be submitted to both Breezy Point and The Odyssey Group. Substitutions will be accepted. All attendees are responsible for their own travel and hotel arrangements.
